Psychedelic experiences can be incredibly insightful, healing, and life-changing, but in the wrong circumstances, they can also be destabilizing and further traumatizing.
Psychedelic preparation sessions help ensure that you are informed, educated, and ready to face what may come to the surface with confidence.
Together, we can explore your intentions, discuss the range of experiences and potential outcomes that can arise with plant medicine, and help you approach your journey with greater awareness, understanding, and support.
As a facilitator who has held space for thousands of people over more than a decade of psychedelic work, I can help you better understand ceremonial containers, safety protocols, facilitator practices, and the questions to ask when choosing where and with whom to have your experience, so you can make informed decisions about the environment and support that are right for you.
Why Preparation Matters
What you bring into your experience matters. Your intentions, expectations, emotional landscape, nervous system capacity, physical readiness, mental preparedness, and understanding of the process can all significantly shape how you process and navigate what unfolds.
Preparation creates a foundation that helps you meet plant medicine with greater openness, awareness, and resilience, allowing you to receive the greatest possible benefit from these powerful teachers.

What We'll Explore
AREAS OF FOCUS
Together we'll target specific areas related to preparation that can help feel ready and get the most out of your psychedelic experiences.
Intentions Vs Expectations
Understanding what is drawing you to the experience, clarifying your intentions, and exploring both conscious and subconscious expectations and how they may shape your experience.
Physical & Emotional Readiness
We look at physical health, potential contraindications, and how to prepare the physical vessel to receive the medicine. We’ll also explore emotional stability and what is ready to be processed before the experience.
Facing Fears & Surrender
Exploring the fears and concerns that continue to come up around the experience, how to navigate them, and how to prepare yourself to surrender to the medicine and let go of the need to control the outcome.
Set, Setting, Safety & Responsibility
Discussing how set and setting can impact your experience, what a safe container should include, basic safety protocols, and your responsibility as a participant to do your due diligence, and make informed decisions
Grounding & Regulation Tecniques
Learning tools to ground yourself in times of chaos, regulate your nervous system during overwhelm, and build confidence in your ability to navigate an experience that becomes dark, confrontational, or frightening.
Preparing for What Comes After
Set yourself up for success with an actionable integration plan. While preparation is important, planning for what comes after can have the greatest impact on how you bring the insights into your everyday life.
Who Can Benefit From Psychedelic Preparation?

Have previous psychedelic experience but want to approach your next journey with greater intention, awareness, and preparation.

My Approach
10+ YEARS EXPERIENCE
My approach to psychedelic preparation draws from over a decade of direct experience hosting retreats in Costa Rica and Texas and guiding thousands of people through hundreds of ceremonies. This has given me an insider perspective on what preparation actually works, what truly matters, and where focus can easily become misdirected.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN A PSYCHEDELIC PREPARATION SESSION
Preparation sessions are private, one-on-one conversations tailored to you. There isn't a rigid checklist or one-size-fits-all process. We begin with where you are, what you're preparing for, and what feels most important to explore.Depending on your needs, our time may include conversation, intention work, education, somatic awareness, mindfulness or grounding practices, and creating a plan for how you'll support yourself before and after your experience.
